“We are going to make a big decision for schools before September” – President Museveni

President Yoweri Museveni has revaled that his leadership is currently studying the coronavirus situation in the country and that they are set to make a big decision on the reopening of schools before September.

He also revealed that it is too early to make a decision on whether to declare a dead year or not and for the meantime distance learning should continue.

“We are going to have to make a big decision for the govt schools before September, either to open some schools or to declare a dead year or whatever. Let us first continue with distance learning and wait and see.”

Learning institutions across the country have been closed since March 2020 in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, and the public is anxious to know when learners will return to class.

We shall keep you posted about further developments.
