WCW: MAK’s Josephine Kabagenyi, former GRC and a celebrated business lady

Every Wednesday, we celebrate outstanding females from different campuses all over the country.

Today, we celebrate Makerere University’s Josephine Kabagenyi.

Josephine Kabagenyi is a finalist at Makerere University doing a Bachelor of Statistics (BSTAT), and former GRC School of Statistics and Planning.

Josephine is a former student from St Mary’s Kitende and one her peers will always be proud of.

As an enterprising lady, Josephine recently started a business that deals in sunglasses and attributes the birth of this business to the recent COVID-19 situation and idleness.

Shades are something people wear on literally any attire. I bring them closer to people who would want them but can’t access them given that most arcades and malls are inaccessible at the moment – Josephine

Josephine also says spending days at home while doing nothing woke her mind and decided to start a business fit for the small capital she had and this gave birth to the idea thus started by using some small money and selling to her friends. With this, she saw the opportunity to expand and avail her products to the general public.

Josephine has been selling these sunglasses through her Instagram account and mobile via 0701299125. Once orders are made, they are delivered.

Kudos Josephine! Keep inspiring other campusers. From all of us at Campus Cam. We wish you the best.
