UCU Vice-chancellor set to handover office

The administration of the Mukono based Uganda Christian University is yet to change arms to a new leadership after a spell of ten years.

The Rev. Canon Dr. John Musisi Ssenyonyi who is the current vice chancellor of the university has held the office for 10 years after his appointment in September 2010. Dr. Ssenyonyi has been the second vice chancellor after taking over from Prof. Stephen Noll.

In his message to the staff and students, Dr. Ssenyonyi who doubles as the Chairman of the Vice Chancellor’s Forum noted that he has tried as much as possible to provide ideas and engage the government in regard to the way forward for the universities amidst the presence of the pandemic.

He will be handing over office to Dr. Aaron Mushengyezi who received his appointment on 1st February, 2020 and is ready to take over the office of the Vice Chancellor.

Dr.Mushengyezi has been the Dean of Languages, Literature and Communications at Makerere University.
