UCU hostel owners unhappy with low turnout of students
Hostel owners around the Mukono based Uganda Christian University (UCU) have decried a low turn up of students.
This comes after the government only reopened universities for finalists following a seven-month closure.
Steven Kabole, the owner of Lisa Fair hostel ssys this has greatly affected his business.
“We are receiving low payments and this has paralyzed our operations,” Kabole mentioned to our reporter.
Kisa, a 98 roomed hostel located few metres from the UCU’s main gate currently has only three students.
Other hostels like Galaxy have also registered a minimal number of occupants.
UCU shall be closing on December 18th, a week from now.
