Stella Nyanzi joins FDC primaries for Kampala Woman MP race

Former Makerere University researcher Dr. Stella Nyazi has entered the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) flag bearer race for the Kampala Woman member of parliament.

The seasoned activist picked the nomination forms after she was proposed by Joyce Sebugwawo, the FDC Vice Chairperson for central region.

Buwembo Habib and Fred Bugoba were among the seconders.

“Today, I collected my “Expression of Interest” and “Nomination for Party Primaries” forms from the party headquarters of FDC. I also renewed my party membership for 2020,” she stated as she announced her participation.

Dr. Stella Nyanzi has been building momentum for her political career through her activism campaigns which include an arrest for demonstrating over what she described as ‘slow distribution’ of government relief food to vulnerable people, mostly affected by the COVID-19 induced lockdown.

She also recently threatened to strip naked in protest if the government of Uganda doesn’t pay Shanitah Namuyimba alias ‘Bad Black’ money for her participation in the coronavirus awareness campaign.

We shall keep you posted about further developments.
