PHOTOS: Kampala ‘on fire’ following protests over Bobi Wine’s arrest

Supporters of the National Unity Platform presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi, aka Bobi Wine have taken to the streets in protest following his arrest while campaigning in Luuka district earlier today.

Business in Kampala and other parts of the country has been paralysed as his supporters demand his unconditional release from Nalufenya in Jinja district where he has been detained.

There is a total shutdown in Kampala downtown as military police battle protesters.

Unverified reports indicate that he has been stabbed, but this hasn’t been confirmed.
