PHOTOS: Kabale University students’ guild council elect take oath

The newly elected Kabale University students’ guild council members on Wednesday 21st October 2020 swore in, in a pretty glamorous ceremony that was thronged by a couple of finalists.

In the process Mr Niwamanya Godfrey, the newly elected guild president assumed office, taking over from Ms Atukunda Evelyn. Niwamanya promised to serve his electorates to the best of his ability and without fear or favour.

The occasion was graced by Prof. Benon C. Basheka, the university Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academics Affairs who also delivered the Vice-Chancellor’s message to the new leaders and the outgoing.

In his submission, he called upon the incoming leaders to serve with a great deal of integrity and as well thanked the outgoing for the tremendous work done through their fiscal year.

Take note that these guild members were elected early this year but the swearing-in ceremony was only handicapped by the COVID 19 alert which led to the closure of institutions underway their academic schedules for the semester.
