“We came last weekend and we had spent only three days and decided to stay together. On Monday evening, Nasur did not come back home and this left me worried. I tried to look for him and failed to find him and when I tried to call his phone, it was off. I called my mother in Amuru and told her about how Nasur had disappeared,” narrated Ibrahim.

He added that as they were searching for Hamidu on Thursday, they were informed that there was an unidentified body floating on River Rwizi.

“I went there and found out that it was Nasur and we called the Police which came and picked the body,” Ibrahim said.

Samson Kasasira the Rwizi Region Police spokesperson said that the Police was able to pick the body and take it to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital mortuary as they made efforts to trace the relatives of the deceased.
