Meet Kabaka Moses, a law student eyeing the UCU Guild Parliament

If you thought all is done about the Uganda Christian University Guild Elections contestants, that was just a rare show.

We are bringing you more and more as they patch it out this week as the finale before Wednesday when the polls will be held. If you thought you’ve had of rare names, he’s name is ” Kabaka ‘ not the King you know but the king to himself and known fully as Kabaka Moses.

This young and determined gentleman is a second-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Laws at Uganda Christian University, Mukono campus. Kabaka is contesting for the office of the MP Non-Residents (male) which is regarded as the largest constituency in the Mukono based university Guild.

You would be wondering why Mr. Kabaka Moses is the best candidate for this office, he puts it clearly in his manifesto that he intends to advocate for a security system where security personnel will be employed to patrol within the night in places near the university.

Its well clear that most of the students reside in hostels which are a bit close to the university and therefore a patrol would boost the security of the students. This idea comes at such a time when the outgoing government solicited funds for the installation of security lights on the different routes used by students as they leave the university premises.

In addition to the security arrangement, Kabaka also intends to raise a platform where students in his constituency can raise their concerns and get them directly considered by the administration. He further analyses the importance of bringing together hostels landlords in such a way that the students’ standards of living on such hostels could be improved.

In an interview with one of the friends, he described Kabaka Moses as ” a determined, eloquent, honest, God-fearing and a considerate young man who is really fit to stand in that office as our leader and representative .”

Campus cam understands that the race has around 5 contestants whereupon after the polls, only two must be declared to have won the positions.
