Narrating Ashiraf Nsubuga’s Last Hours
On Sunday morning, Nsubuga visited the neighbourhood to borrow a slasher which he used to clear the bush around his room. After clearing the bush, he started cleaning the veranda before entering and closing himself in his room. He first cleaned his room before committing suicide – A source informed this website.
Another source close to Nsubuga said that the deceased visited City mortuary at Mulago Hospital on Friday to “see how bodies are laid down.”
“It was a surprise when Nsubuga told me that he visited the mortuary to see bodies. I actually started fearing the situation he was in because he always told me how he is suffering inside his heart.” the source narrated.
Nsubuga’s death has been linked to depression caused by debts.
Nsubuga’s death brings the number of deaths in Nsibirwa hall to three in just two semesters. Last semester, a student from the School of Forestry committed suicide and another one drowned in the University swimming pool.
