Makerere University in a Greening and Cleaning Campaign

Over the weekend, MAK students rolled into the first phase of community engagement with the Mak connect Initiative.

The phase dubbed the Greening and Cleaning campaign aimed at the environment and public health with special interest in averting climate change through proper waste management and tree planting.

They engaged in cleaning exercise through some Halls of residence, Wandegeya, Katanga, Kikumikikumi and Kikoni wherein we also planted more than 300 tree seedlings.

They are also set to expand the exercise to various parts of the city and then to the scopes beyond Kampala Metropolitan Area.
