Makerere activist Musiri David arrested while demanding Museveni’s academic documents
Musiri David, an aggressive activist and a student at Makerere University has been arrested today morning while demanding for President Yoweri Museveni’s academic documents.
David, together with other activists camped outside the Electoral Commission offices in Kampala from where they demand the NRM Presidential candidate’s papers.
They, however, didn’t receive good reception and were instead bundled away by the police.
Musiri David previously contested and lost the Makerere University Guild Presidential election in 2019.
He earned the nickname ‘strike machine’ because of his rigorous participation in protests.
David led a strike against Makerere’s 15% cumulative tuition increment last year and he was among several students that were suspended by the institution.
