Kyambogo University issues graduation update

The Vice-Chancellor of Kyambogo University, Prof. Elly Katunguka, has revealed that the institution is yet to set graduation dates for current finalists.

While addressing the media this morning, he stated that some finalists have been unable to undertake internships.

For example, he mentioned that finalists pursuing Bachelor of Education programs have been unable to carry out school practice since schools have been closed from March 2020.

Internships are a vital component of various programs and learners cannot graduate without doing them.

The academic calendar was disrupted by the closure of all learning institutions across the country in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Prof. Katunguka also stated that Kyambogo University will resume online lectures for continuing students on 18th January 2021.

Thereafter, the students will return to campus for face to face lectures from 1st to 14th February 2021.

Immediately classes are completed, exams will be conducted over a two week period.

Freshers will report at the start of the new academic year which will run from 1st March to 4th July 2021.
