Kyambogo University continuing students to return in February
The Vice-Chancellor of Kyambogo University Prof. Elly Katunguka has revealed that continuing students will resume in-person classes in February 2021.
Students at learning institutions across the country were sent home in March 2020.
This was shortly before the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in the country.
According to Prof Katunguka, students will first be taught online for two weeks starting January 18 before physically reporting at the campus on February 1.
Immediately classes are completed in mid-February, exams will be conducted over a two week period.
“Students will be subjected to final exams from February 15 to 21. I ask all students who had not completed the tuition fees for this semester to do so because those with tuition balance will not be allowed to sit for the exams,” he said.
Freshers will report at the start of the new academic year which will run from 1st March to 4th July 2021.
The institution is yet to confirm graduation dates for finalists since many haven’t undertaken internships.
