KIU to hold a virtual graduation ceremony

Kampala International University (KIU) has revealed that this year’s graduation ceremony will be conducted virtually following the closure of educational institutions, a move aimed at curbing the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

The graduation ceremony will take place on Saturday, August 22, starting at 2:30 PM. It was earlier meant to be conducted in June but it was postponed.

“For purposes of preventing the spread of the pandemic, and in compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures by the Ministry of Health of the government of Uganda, the KIU University Council and the University Senate decided that the graduation be held online (virtual) on Saturday, 22nd August, starting at 2:30 PM East African Standard Time,” reads the announcement from the KIU University Senate and published by the Director, Academic Affairs.

Clearance is currently ongoing until August 15th, 2020. To complete the clearance process click on the link https://clearance.kiu.ac.ug.

KIU will join the list of universities that have conducted virtual graduation ceremonies such as Cavendish University and the East African University.
