Independent Presidential candidate John Katumba has promised to pay all music producers across the country to ensure that artistes record music free of charge, if he is elected into office.

This pledge comes a few days after he promised to establish free music studios across the country for upcoming artistes in order for their talents to be nurtured and improved.

The aim of thisintervention is to support youths are earning a living through music who are unable to afford the high fees of music production.

While campaigning, he also promised to channel teargas money to health.

Katumba told his supporters that he believes music can play a pivotal role in improving the livelihoods of young people across the country, but this prospect hasn’t been embraced by the current leadership, something he seeks to address.

The Makerere University graduate is currently traversing the country seeking support ahead of the January 2021 election.
