Katumba promises to build free music studios for upcoming artistes across the country
Independent Presidential candidate John Katumba has promised to establish free music studios across the country for upcoming artistes in order for their talents to be nurtured and improved.
The aim of this project will be to support youths are earning a living through music but are not supported to improve on the quality of their songs.
The Makerere University graduate made the remarks while campaigning in Hoima district this week.
Katumba told his supporters that he believes music can play a pivotal role in improving the livelihoods of young people across the country, but this prospect hasn’t been embraced by the current leadership, something he seeks to address.
He also stated that his government would reduce on the number of members of parliament which he says is too big wasting taxpayers’ money which would have been used put to boost the health, education and road sectors among others.
