It is reported that Katumba made his way to the palace at 8:00 am but was denied the opportunity to meet Omukama Solomon Gafabusa Iguru because he simply showed up without informing the palace officials in advance.

“There is a procedure he has to follow. Culturally, the Omukama is the one who invites a person. You cannot just come and think you will meet him,” one of the guards at the palace stated.

Katumba said he wanted to meet the Omukama so that they discuss issues such as health, education, land grabbing as well as oil and gas.
