“He was a creative friend” – Makerere’s Pr. Ssempa mourns Sheikh Muzaata

Pastor Martin Ssempa of Makerere Community Church has expressed grief following the death of prominent Muslim cleric Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata.

Sheikh Muzaata passed away on 4th December 2020 at International Hospital Kampala where he had been receiving treatment for two weeks.

“Sheikh Muzaata was a creative man who stood by his word, never allowing to be compromised. He was innovative in business and other spheres of life,” Pr. Ssempa stated while speaking outside the hospital a few hours after Muzaata’s death.

The outspoken Pastor also revealed that the late Muzaata always encouraged him to stand steadfast in his fight against homosexuality whenever he encountered any threats during his activism.

“It is unfortunate and I am saddened that he has passed away. I would really like to know what has happened. We have lost a big gun,” he stated.

He further sent his condolences to the friends and family of the deceased.
