Former Makerere University Guild President joins Eastern Region Youth MP race

Campus Cam has learned that David Bala Bwiruka, a young and ambitious political figure who previously served as a Guild President at Makerere University is now considering a move to parliament.

According to reports, Bala David will contest for the Eastern Region Youth Member of Parliament in the 2021 polls.

Bala hasn’t yet revealed what political party he will be affiliated to, however, he is running with the slogan “Redefining Youthfulness.”

Taliwaku Julian, a former two time guild president aspirant at Makerere University is also vying for the same seat.

Bala David and three other individuals recently sued Airtel for allegedly deducting customer credit for listening to the audio played by the company when making a phone call which is not answered.

He, together with Rebecca Nambi and Brian Otim sued the telecom giant contending that the illegal deductions every time they called Amanyire has greatly inconvenienced and disrupted the progress of their work projects resulting in failure to achieve their targets, emotional and financial stress for which they are seeking punitive and general damages.
