EXCLUSIVE: Inside Ndejje University’s plan for completing the semester

Campus Cam has received exclusive information into how the administration at Ndejje University is planning to complete the second semester of the 2019/20 academic year that was halted in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Ndejje University is planning to follow the procedures below to complete the semester.

Faculty Deans are to work with the respective faculty staff to sub,it course content to be uploaded onto various E-platforms for students to access.

Encourage the staff to interface with the students for discussions and explanations and eventually set standard coursework questions which will be marked and equated to end of semester II, 2019/20 Examination marks.

Encourage finalists who are working on their research to complete the process with their supervisors and hand in the reports.

The Heads of Department will compile results and hand them over to faculty Examination coordinators.

Close to 15 million learners across the country have been at home since March 20th 2020 after President Museveni directed for the closure of school, universities and tertiary institutions.

The head of state has previously hinted at reopening learning institutions, with initial plans indicating that only learners in candidate classes and finalists at the university would be allowed to return to complete their studies.

Numerous institutions such as Uganda Christian University and the Law Development Center have made attempts to conduct online classes or assessments but these have been stopped by the government citing that some individuals would be left out.
