Continuing students set to resume after festive season – Hon. Muyingo

The Minister for Higher Education, Hon. John Chrysostom Muyingo, recently stated that continuing students will likely return to class shortly after the festive season.
Learners across the country were sent home in March 2020 in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Schools and universities were only partially reopened in October for learners in candidate classes and finalists at universities and tertiary institutions.
The minister told reporters that stakeholders in the ministry will utilise the festive season to determine return dates based on reports from field inspectors.
Learners in candidate classes are set to start their national examinations in March 2021.
