Celebrating H.E Mugamba Shahali. IUIU former Guild president

Today we remember H.E Mugamba Shahali the 29th guild president of Islamic University In Uganda.
Shahali became president IUIU Main Campus in the 2016-2017 Academic year

Shahali Mugamba, the shortest student at Islamic University In Uganda (IUIU), he won  guild president elections with 653 votes beating fellow contestants, Mohamed Dahir Dagane who polled at 562 votes and Katende Jamaldin who got 556 votes.

Mugamba Shahali who was 26years by then became the shortest the guild president in the world and his term will forever be remembered.

He also contested for UNSA president were he emerged third position.
Shahali graduated in 2017 with a Second Class Upper honors division in Computer Science.

In 2018, he secured a scholarship and started his Masters in Computer Engineering at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) in Bangladesh where he graduated from.

While at IUT, he won the Quran competitions organized, chaired the electoral commission for International students community and many others.

Many IUIU students believe that Shahali was a solid leader whose No meant NO.
