BREAKING: Makerere University withdraws UNSA candidacy support for strike leaders

Siperia Mollie, the Makerere University that rose to fame for leading a protest against the 15% tuition increment policy continues to suffer more oppression for her strong stand against what she considers unfair.

It has now emerged that the Dean of students of Makerere University, Mr. Kabagambe Cyriaco has issued a letter withdrawing Mollie’s candidacy as a delegate at the Uganda National Students Association where she intended to run for a position in the next election.

This is not the first hurdle she has faced for her activism stand. Upon being arrested and detained at Wandegeya police for leading a strike, she was served with a suspension letter, while her colleagues received warning letters. She was also brutally attacked by unknown people, later discovered unconscious, and is currently admitted in hospital.
