BREAKING: Kenneth Agaba Amponda wins UCU Guild Presidential race

Mukono based Uganda Christian University (UCU) held the first-ever electronically managed elections dubbed e-chugga.
Kenneth Agaba Amponda and Jim Patrick Wasswa were the two Students contesting for the University’s top Students’ office.

On Wednesday night, It was announced that Kenneth Agaba Amponda, a third-year student of Bachelor of Laws emerged victorious with 1229 votes beating his rival Jim Patrick Wasswa, also a third-year student of Bachelor of Civil Engineering who garnered 449 votes.

Amponda is expected to take over office from incumbent Guild President Timothy Kadaga a third-year Bachelor of Laws student in a week’s time.
