GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
The Logistics Graduate Trainee will support the Operations department to ensure routine administrative functions are in compliance with Mercy Corps policies and procedures. S/he is responsible for supporting the Operations department in Warehouse and asset management and if required procurement and fleet management 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS – TASKS
Stores Management 

  • Support in shelf labelling
  • Support in maintenance of the e-bin cards 
  • Support in ensuring stock records are updated as per transactions
  • Prepare and file store related documentation for swaps, deliveries to satellite offices and program participants among others 
  • Support in routine inventory stock taking

Fleet

  • Reorganize the fuel records available
  • Support in preparing monthly vehicle hire and fuel reports

Procurement

  •  Learn how to troubleshoot and update the Moroto procurement Masterlist
  • Time to Time support the procurement officer in collecting RFQ’s from supplier’s/service providers within and outside Moroto.

Assets and Inventory Management 

  • Maintain assets and inventory for offices and guest houses and ensure they are tagged with proper asset numbers.
  • Update the asset/inventory register in guidance of the operations Manager.
  • Issue and receive the assets from staff on a daily or regular basis and coordinate with IT and Operations manager for support.

Stores Management 

  • Organized and labelled shelves stores
  • Updated stores records

Fleet 

  • Easily accessible documents for analysis
  • Timely vendor payments and replenishment of fuel

Procurement

  • Up-to-date PR Masterlist for Moroto

Assets and Inventory Management 

  • Maintained and updated assets and inventory master list for office and guest house
  • Well tagged assets and inventory

Job Requirements

Required education: Bachelor’s degree
Required relevant work experience: none
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
